Our Story: A Global Tradition, Reimagined

What began as a small, mission-driven practice in Seattle has grown into a trusted, nurse practitioner–led brand expanding into Dallas—with the same heart, values, and evidence-based care that have guided countless families. At the center is Rue Khosa, ARNP, FNP-BC, IBCLC—born and raised in Zimbabwe, where family and community form the foundation of birth and parenting. In Shona culture, when a woman is expecting, an elder woman joins her home to prepare her for birth—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. This sacred tradition, known as kugarira, continues for months after delivery, offering unwavering support as the mother heals and bonds with her baby. When Rue began working with mothers in the U.S., she saw the overwhelming gaps in postpartum care—no village, no built-in support, only isolation and expectation. So she built The Perfect Push to bring the essence of kugarira into modern motherhood—through clinical expertise, nurturing care, and community-centered connection.

Since 2015 The Perfect Push has been redefining the parenting experience by partnering with families to provide expert lactation services and comprehensive parenting support.

Leadership

Chi-chi Acho

Chief Pediatric Officer

Chi-Chi Ocho is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, nurse leader, and MBA-trained clinician who brings deep pediatric expertise and a strong commitment to family-centered care to her role as Chief Pediatric Officer at The Perfect Push. She oversees clinical quality and safety across our pediatric services, including our Phototherapy Program and our Postpartum & Newborn Care Specialist program.

Drawing from her Nigerian roots and the postpartum tradition of kugarira, our community-centered practice that nurtures both mother and baby, Chi-Chi enriches our care model with her unique cultural wisdom and global perspective.

A mother of two, Chi-Chi leads with both professional expertise and lived experience, shaping a pediatric program that is safe, culturally attuned, and deeply supportive of every family we serve.

Nauman Rashid

Supervising Physician

Dr. Nauman W. Rashid is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with extensive clinical, academic, and leadership experience across emergency care, critical care, and telemedicine. A graduate of Meharry Medical College, he completed Emergency Medicine residency training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center/Weill Cornell, where he served as Chief Academic Resident, followed by additional Internal Medicine training at Good Samaritan Hospital.

For over a decade, Dr. Rashid has practiced as an attending physician with ApolloMD in the Wellstar Health System, primarily at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital—one of Georgia’s highest-volume Level I trauma centers.

He has held multiple leadership roles, including Director of Research for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program and Director of Clinical Education, and currently serves as the Emergency Department Medical Director at Emory Hospital in Warner Robins, GA.

Rue Khosa

Founder/Chief Lactation Officer

Rue Khosa, ARNP, IBCLC is a nurse practitioner, lactation consultant, and the Founder and Chief Lactation Consultant of The Perfect Push. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Rue blends global insight, clinical expertise, and a strong commitment to equity to transform the postpartum and breastfeeding experience for families.

Through The Perfect Push Foundation, she leads community focused initiatives that address maternal health disparities and expand access to culturally grounded support. Rue also brings experience from her recent work in pharmaceutical sales, strengthening her ability to partner with healthcare systems and advance evidence based maternal care.

A trusted educator and consultant, Rue has supported thousands of families and guided organizations seeking to improve breastfeeding outcomes and family centered care. Outside of her professional work, she is a joyful boy mom to three sons and enjoys making cinnamon rolls from scratch. Rue loves supporting women through every stage of life and is preparing to launch her podcast exploring identity, motherhood, and womanhood.

Lyzza Marizz Otadoy

Clinic & Parent Support Coordinator

Hello! I’m Lyzza Marizz Otadoy, a Back Office Administrative Support Specialist. Behind my laptop, I help keep our team organized by managing scheduling, communication, documentation, and day-to-day administrative tasks so our TEAM can focus on caring for families.

I bring years of healthcare experience as a Registered Pharmacist, having worked in hospital, retail, and distribution settings where I handled patient counseling, regulatory compliance, and medication management. I also have strong experience as a Healthcare Virtual Assistant, supporting providers with scheduling, EHR tasks, patient communication, and workflow coordination.

With my optimistic approach, attention to detail, and passion for helping others, I strive to create a smooth, positive experience for both clients and the team.

Pamela Madora

Nursing Administrator

I am a compassionate Registered Nurse and Postpartum & Newborn Care Specialist dedicated to helping families thrive during the fourth trimester.

I provide calm, evidence-based newborn care, support maternal recovery, and guide parents through feeding, soothing, routines, and early developmental milestones.

With a warm, family-centered approach, I create a nurturing, structured environment that promotes confidence, bonding, and a smooth transition into life with a newborn.

Chief Concierge Experience Consultant

Tori Jones brings a unique blend of clinical insight and lived experience to The Perfect Push.
As an emergency care nurse and mother of twins, she understands the real challenges families face—from postpartum recovery to breastfeeding and newborn care.

In her role as Chief Concierge Experience Consultant, Tori helps shape every aspect of our client journey, ensuring it is grounded in safety, empathy, and thoughtful, luxurious care. Her clinical background and personal experience guide how we communicate, support, and curate meaningful touchpoints for the families we serve.

Postpartum & Newborn Care Specialist

Hello! My name is Archelle Spapperi. I am a Licensed Midwife (Philippines) with a deep passion for newborns, mothers, and growing families.

I bring 6+ years of hands-on clinical and childcare experience, including assisting in over 20 live births, postpartum recovery care, and daily infant care.

Born and raised in the Philippines, I recently relocated to the Dallas area and am excited to bring my calm, confident, and nurturing energy to American families.

I am a proud mother myself, so I truly understand the joy and the exhaustion that comes with a new baby. I love supporting parents during the fourth trimester with evidence-based care, plenty of patience, and a lot of heart.

Cynthia Alvarado

Postpartum & Newborn Care Specialist

My name is Cynthia Alvarado. I bring over five years of professional caregiving experience, including home health, private care, and assisted living. I have supported elderly and disabled clients with compassion, patience, and respect, and those same values guide me in my work with newborns and new parents.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish, CPR certified, and currently expanding my training as a Newborn Care Specialist. My goal is always to create a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel secure and parents feel supported, rested, and confident.

I would love to provide gentle, reliable care, stay organized, and help families transition smoothly into life with a new baby. I would love the opportunity to support your family!

Priscilla Mutangadura

Postpartum & Newborn Care Specialist

My name is Priscilla Mutangadura, and I am a postpartum newborn care specialist with over five years of professional childcare experience.

Originally from Zimbabwe and raised in a large family of 20 children, caring for infants and young children has been a natural part of my life from a very young age.

My background has given me deep patience, intuition, and a nurturing approach that families often describe as warm and grounding. I have experience supporting newborns from diverse backgrounds and with varying health needs, and I am passionate about helping families settle into life with their new baby with confidence and ease.

Outside of my work with infants, I’m an artist who enjoys woodburning, singing, writing, gardening, and cooking. I am proud to be part of The Perfect Push team, where my love for babies and supporting families truly feels like a calling.
